We know it can be distressing when someone is the victim of fraud. Please contact us so that we can understand the extent of the fraudulent activity, provide support, and enable us to correct any inaccurate information that may have been reported to the Credit Reporting Bodies.
If you haven’t already, you may want to consider contacting each of the Credit Reporting Bodies to obtain a copy of your credit report to see if there are any other credit enquiries that you don’t recognise as being yours. You may also consider requesting the registered Credit Reporting Bureau to place a ban on your credit report, which prevents any other party from accessing your credit report or adding new information to it for a set period of time.
If you are a victim of fraud, please report the matter to the police. You can do this by lodging a report with your local police – make sure you ask for a police report or reference number.
